  Fitness First Dee Why has a good variety of classes and does have some trainers worth paying for but many others really don't want to be there and some are downright rude. Some totally ignore you unless you are a gorgeous girl in your 20s.
  
  Equipment is left scattered all over the place, people do not use towels and you are faced with pools of sweat on equipment even in classes where this could and should be monitored more closely. Broken equipment is left for weeks and months before being fixed. Floors are dirty as is much of the machine equipment. Don't even think about how dirty the mats and rollers are! The ladies change rooms are more often than not, swimming in water all over the floors, children screaming and shouting, mothers changing babies directly on the benches with no towel underneath and some of the toilets don't always flush. The whole place feels grimy.
  
  This club has gone so far down the path of children's swimming lessons and high school kids that it is more like a community centre gym than a private club looking after its members. members have very restricted times in the pool because so much time is given over to swimming lessons for kids. Parking is also a serious issue despite there being a car park under the club.
  
  Reception staff are not empowered to do their job and those that have the power are not there when you need them. Much effort is spent on obtaining new members but very little effort goes into maintaining the members they already have. Given the poor environment the fees are expensive.
